3. It is preferable to use hard rock with good form as they are
difficult to sculp and growing moss is also hard .
4. Soft rocks, easily carved into any kind of pattern are water
absorbent and can grow moss on the surface.
5. Use a lighter shade of rock in the background when attempting
to give the illusion of a distant mountain.
C. Three methods to build a Hòn Non Bộ:
1. Cut to form a base on mountain-shaped rocks whose outline
should be triangular in shape.
2. Use cement; glue rocks together from base to peak of the
mountain. It is helpful to use ropes, copper wire or supporting
poles to retain the shape of the designs while the cement is
curing.
3. Use soft rock carved into mountain shapes
